Jaliba Kuyateh’s kora music for mental health
Renowned Kora musician and UNICEF ambassador, Jaliba Kuyateh, tells Audrey Brown about his involvement with a project in The Gambia which uses music as a way to improve maternal mental health. He created and performed songs across communities about the importance of partner support during and after pregnancy. Known as ‘The King of Kora’, Jaliba Kuyateh has been awarded by a UK university for his work on the project.
