Andrew Turner investigates the curious case of North Walsham's wonky benches.

North Norfolk District Council says stories of people slipping off the benches are an "urban myth", and that to make all of them exactly level would have involved digging too far down. They say that: "Some people have longer legs than others, some have shorter legs than others... So you can sit where you like, you have choice."
