Charles II sculpture saves dead oak tree
The royal oak tree outside a pub has been transformed from a dead tree to a spectacular sculpture.
Owners of the Royal Oak pub in Gretton were facing the prospect of cutting down an old oak tree that has been standing outside for nearly 300 years.
But rather than being left with a big tree stump, they got an artist in to create a sculpture instead.
The tree now has an amazing figure of Charles II carved into the tree.
麻豆社 Radio Gloucestershire's Dan Ayers has been to see the new sculpture.
