Lesotho party wants to claim land from South Africa
The Kingdom of Lesotho is tiny compared to its giant neighbour South Africa, which completely surrounds it. But Lesotho is tiny because ancestral lands were taken from its people during the colonial era and it was ultimately given to South Africa. Some lawmakers have now taken the issue to parliament, with the hope of getting lands back that they say rightfully belongs to their country. The party pushing this claim is the Basotho Covenant Movement. Party spokesperson, Pastor Kenneth Matee told Hassan Arouni why this issue is important to them.
