Jane Goodall: Disruptive protests ‘counterproductive’
The conservationist says she doesn’t believe in climate protests like blocking traffic.
Chimpanzee expert and animal rights campaigner, Dame Jane Goodall, is passionate about saving animals and the environment, but says she does not believe in direct action that disrupts people’s everyday lives.
Today’s Martha Kearney talked with Dr Goodall about the impact her campaigns have had across generations, ahead of a new TV series called Jane's Animal Adventures, about a young girl inspired by Goodall's passion.
Martha also discussed environmental protests like blocking traffic, which Goodall claims are ‘counterproductive’ and don’t encourage positive change.
