Ukraine denies drone attacks on Russian soil
A new wave of Russian airstrikes is underway in Ukraine, with reports of explosions in Kyiv and the southern cities of Zaporizhzhia and Odesa.
The raids come a day after Russia accused Ukraine of carrying out a drone attack on the Kremlin in what it claimed was an attempt to assassinate President Putin. Russian forces apparently used radar equipment to disable the drones. There were no casualties, and the president was unhurt.
Ukraine has rejected accusations that it was responsible. It's the fourth time in a week that Kyiv has come under air attack.
Newsday got the latest from Ukrainian MP, Oleksii Goncharenko who spoke from Kyiv.
