Parents with children in primary school in the Irish town of Greystones have pledged to wait until secondary school (about age 11) to give their children smartphones. It's an initiative from Rachel Harper, the principal of St. Patricks. It's one of nine schools in the area where parents have signed up to the voluntary ban.

Newshour's Julian Marshall brought her together for a conversation with an experimental psychologist, Professor Andrew Przybylski. First, Rachel Harper explains why she felt the need for this ban.
