The Open: A history of Royal Liverpool in Hoylake
The World's best golfers have descended on Hoylake for the Open Golf Championship at Royal Liverpool.
The club has an incredible story when it comes to the Open Championship. Rory McIlroy was the winner when it last staged the event in 2014, and before him it was Tiger Woods. Plus some of the greats of yesteryear have also lifted the Claret Jug in Hoylake.
Joe Pinnington wrote the story of the history of the club - a book called "Mighty Winds, Mighty Champions".
