PM won't commit on Brum council crisis or HS2 future
The Prime Minister Rishi Sunak has again declined to confirm the HS2 railway will stretch from Birmingham to Manchester. Asked on 麻豆社 Radio WM, he replied that there were 鈥渟pades in the ground鈥 to make sure the 鈥渇irst part of this line from Birmingham to central London鈥 was completed.
But the Prime Minister then moved his answer on to local transport. He said it was also important to invest 鈥渋n the transport [people] use every day鈥, making sure roads were free of potholes and bus services were reliable and frequent.
The Prime Minister feels that the Labour led council in Birmingham has been terribly mismanaged & it is now up to government appointed commissioners to sort out future plans.
