How a distress call to the 麻豆社 led to the rescue of six women trapped in a lorry
Six women have been rescued from the back of a lorry in France, after the 麻豆社 helped track them down and alert the police.
The four Vietnamese and two Iraqis, thought to be migrants, were trapped inside, panicking and struggling to breathe.
The 麻豆社 then helped to contact the police, who stopped the lorry. French police have arrested the lorry driver and opened an investigation into a suspected human trafficking operation.
麻豆社 Newshour's James Menendez spoke to the 麻豆社 Vietnamese Service Khue B. Luu, who was in direct contact with one of the women inside the lorry.
