Euston's railway equality hero
Asquith Xavier came to Britain from the Caribbean island of Dominica in where he'd been a police officer. Hired by British Rail he quickly worked his way up from being porter.. to a train guard despite racism, unbeknownst to him he was to become an equality hero for railway workers of colour with a legacy that has stood the test of time.
