Israel appears to be preparing for a ground offensive into Gaza and civilians have been advised to move to the south of the Gaza Strip for their safety.

So what is it like to fight in Gaza as a soldier of the Israel Defense Forces (IDF)?

Eyal Biram was a captain in the IDF and fought in the 2014 Gaza War, also known as Operation Protective Edge.

Newshour鈥檚 James Menendez spoke to Biram who explained the difficulties of urban warfare.
