Fifty years ago today, one of the world's most prominent religious leaders came to a small Oxfordshire village. The Dalia Lama's visit to Sutton Courtenay is being marked with a celebration at the Abbey. So why did the world's most famous Buddhist make this special trip on his first UK visit?
