The Yorkshire-born actor has always praised himself on his work ethic and professionalism.

During filming of Star Trek: The Next Generation, Stewart was so concerned with the behaviour of his cast members that he called an emergency meeting.

To try and improve standards, Stewart said an iconic line that his cast members have continued to bring up in jokes ever since.

Speaking to Â鶹Éç Radio 5 Live's Nihal Arthanayake, he said: "I have been ashamed and embarrassed about that scene ever since."
