Why is London worse for seasonal affective disorder?
Seasonal Affective Disorder - or SAD - affects scores of people in the UK every year - and with the winter rapidly approaching, it's starting to emerge again for many. For most people SAD appears as the nights get shorter and the cold weather kicks in. The exact cause of the condition is not known, but it can cause anxiety, fatigue and difficulty concentrating.
London was recently named the most troubled city in the UK when it comes to seasonal depression. But why is that? And what can Londoners do to stave off the winter blues?
