Steve Coogan on the need for comedy to take aim at the powerful
The comedian and actor Steve Coogan has revealed his approach to comedy writing.
Steve, who recently played Jimmy Savile in the new 麻豆社 drama 'The Reckoning', said his comedy tries to offer hope and love as well as lampooning the wealthy and those with prejudices.
Speaking to 麻豆社 Radio 5 Live's Nihal Arthanayake, Steve said: "I don't pick on weak people... I don't pick on the vulnerable".
He added that his work shows that you can "call the powerful to account".
