My marriage turned out to be a lie - here's why I'm speaking out
Mary Turner Thomson had been married to William Allen Jordan for four years when she found out he was a bigamist and a conman.
They had two children together - but little did Mary know at the time he also had at least seven other children with his first wife and their nanny. He was jailed for five years in 2006.
She joined Emma Barnett on Â鶹Éç Radio 4’s Woman’s Hour to share why she’s speaking openly about their story, to reduce the shame around being a victim of these crimes.
They were also joined by Mary’s daughter Eilidh, who said she’s proud of her mum for being able to help others through their experience.
Listen to the full interview on Â鶹Éç Sounds – it’s the Woman’s Hour episode from 26 October. Their story features in a new ITV series called The Other Mrs Jordan - Catching the Ultimate Conman.
