Selective mutism makes Aylesbury boy ‘lonely’
Charlie’s parents, Laura and Andy, are trying to raise awareness of the condition. Selective mutism is an anxiety disorder where a person is unable to speak in certain social situations. It affects around one in every 140 children and is often dismissed as shyness.
