Clapham: 'I'm petrified my mouldy flat will kill me'
Stacey Coveley is terrified that the rampant mould infesting her council flat will kill her.
The mother of two suffers from chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), a progressive lung condition that makes breathing difficult. But she feels the pervasive mould spores permeating her apartment pose an even graver threat.
New figures obtained by the 麻豆社 reveal complaints to the regulator about damp and mould in social housing have nearly tripled in the capital.
Lambeth council says "the service it had provided to Ms Coveley was not up to standard" and has apologised for the "distress caused by these failings."
麻豆社 London's Guy Lynn has been to see Stacey in her flat, to see first hand what impact the mould is having.
