XL bully ban: "It鈥檚 caused more harm than good"
XL bully owner Natasha Jago, from Derby, thinks the ban on the dog breed has caused "more harm than good to humans and dogs".
Natasha is currently muzzle training Buddy, her XL bully, but says it鈥檚 鈥榰nfair鈥 on him. She spoke to 麻豆社 Radio Derby presenter Andy Twigge.
A Defra spokesperson said: 鈥淲e have taken quick and decisive action to protect the public from tragic dog attacks.
鈥淔rom 31 January 2024, owners of XL Bully type dogs have the options of applying for their dog to be added to the Index of Exempted Dogs or take their dog to be euthanised. We are working closely with the police, canine and veterinary experts, and animal welfare groups, as we take forward these important measures.鈥
