Oxford United have confirmed Des Buckingham as their new manager. The 38 year old who is from Oxford - was a youth team player with the U's and worked his way up to first team coach at United under Chris Wilder, before plying his trade across the world. His experiences include leading New Zealand to the Olympic games to Mumbai to the Indian Super League title. Former Oxford United defender Eddie Odhiambo crossed paths with Buckingham while the pair were growing up together in the city and he told Adam Ball it is a positive appointment.
