Newsbite: What has made 'thrifting' trendy?
Buying second-hand has always been a thing. But people often bought already-worn clothes from charity shops out of necessity because they couldn't afford to buy new threads. But today, we are seeing a rise in people buying-second hand and it has been dubbed 'thrifting.' The trend setters say it's down to a number of factors including affordability as well as concerns about the environment. We visit Winchester's vintage kilo sale and a charity shop in Oxford to find out more about this boom in 'thrifting.'
