Newsbite: Saving the sand lizard from extinction
How do you save a species from going extinct? The humble, colour changing, sand lizard is native to the UK but due to modern land loss and wildfires it is endangered and on the brink of dying out. Dorset has loads of beautiful heathland which the species love and the county's Wildlife Trust is on a mission to help the rare reptiles thrive again.
