On Thursday 23rd November, a major fire broke out in the centre of Reading.

Black smoke billowed from a building on Station Hill - and there was a dramatic crane rescue of a workman, footage of which went viral.

This was all described by 麻豆社 Radio Berkshire reporter Alex Meakin, who was on the street surrounded by workers whose buildings were evacuated on the morning of the fire.

Alex shares his experience of that day. For more on this story, check the 麻豆社 News app.
