Consumer rights expert Martyn James describes some of the areas where scams happen a lot more often at this time of year.

The National Cyber Security Centre is warning that AI generated scams are 鈥渆nhancing the threat鈥� to Christmas shoppers.

Speaking to 5 Live鈥檚 Tony Livesey, Martyn said: 鈥淵ou have to be very cynical.鈥�

鈥淎 lot of scammers are using these very easy to fake shops to try to con you out of your cash.鈥�

He added: 鈥淪cammers are exploiting our weaknesses and the things that make us to spring into action.鈥�
