'Humble' Xmas tree sparks bidding frenzy
The 鈥榟umblest' Christmas tree in the world went up for auction in Banbury. The tree went under the hammer at Hansons Auctioneers. The 31-inch artificial tree was originally bought in 1920 in the aftermath of the First World War. It served as Dorothy Grant's Christmas tree from her time as a little girl up until her death in 2014, at the age of 101. Charles Hanson believed it could fetch up to 拢80... He told 麻豆社 Oxford's Sophie Law what it sold for.
