Two years on: Ukrainians living in the UK
As part of the 'Homes for Ukraine' scheme, British families have been opening their doors to Ukrainian refugees.
Ludmilla and her son have been living at Miranda's house in Sheffield since May 2022 and have just celebrated their second Christmas together.
After leaving Ukraine ten days after war broke out, Ludmilla now sees a future for herself and her son in the UK, and hopes to become a teacher here.
"I am very happy because I have [a] supportive family. Miranda's dads, Miranda's mother and for me it's very important", she said.
