Essex junior doctors begin 6-day strike
Junior doctors take part in a 6-day strike at hospitals across Essex over pay concerns. It's the longest-ever strike in NHS history, which has seen 33,000 appointments postponed in Essex since April 2023. Matthew Hopkins is the CEO of Mid and South Essex Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust which looks after Basildon, Southend and Broomfield Hospital, and Matthew told 麻豆社 Essex about the situation they were facing.
