MasterChef finalist's emotional farewell to restaurant closing
Tony and Becky Rodd say they鈥檙e in a 鈥減eriod of grief鈥 after announcing that they鈥檙e closing their restaurant after five years.
They say rising energy bills and the cost of living crisis meant they could no longer keep Copper and Ink in Blackheath open.
Speaking to Nihal Arthanayake on 麻豆社 Radio 5 Live about the challenges facing the hospital industry, they were read a text sent in by a listener and former regular customer at their restaurant.
Holding back tears, Tony said "Much like all of our guests in the restaurant who've been eating our food for five years, they've become friends, they've become family.
"Messages like that make you realise how much we were meant in the industry".
