Ambulance service out of ‘special measures’
The East of England Ambulance Service has been moved out of special measures.
NHS England placed the service in a national support programme in 2020. Progress since then means this is no longer necessary.
The latest Care Quality Commission report says the trust has improved its leadership, culture and safety for staff.
The service’s chief executive, Tom Abell, says it is a ‘major milestone’.
