Every day during the winter Carol Cook feeds the birds on the shores of Lake Windermere . The birds flock to her as soon as she arrives, and the spectacle has tuned Carol into a local celebrity. She started feeding the birds five years ago when on a cold day when she took pity on a swan, and at the end of the first year she was feeding twenty.
