A stretch of the A12 between Chelmsford and Colchester is going to be widened to 3 lanes from 2. The improvements from junction 19 to junction 25 in both directions will cost £1.2 billion. Sir Bernard Jenkin is the MP for Harwich and North Essex and says the works will be a huge boost to the British economy.
