Honor Oak: Reporter partakes in pagan 'Wassailing' rite
With the cold winter days of January fully upon us, many will be wishing for the brighter of spring. None more so, than the Honor Oak locals who - at this time of year - partake in the pagan tradition of 'Wassailing'.
Since the Middle Ages 'Wassailing' has involved visiting orchards in cider-producing trees, reciting incantations and singing to the trees to promote a good harvest for the coming year.
麻豆社 Radio London sent it's reporter Anna O'Neill to partake in the ancient tradition.
