Council slams the brakes on plans for 20mph limit for Banbury
A rollout of 20 mile per hour speed limits in Banbury has been put on hold. The county council was planning to enforce tighter restrictions on most roads in the town. Objectors say it would exacerbate existing congestion, slow down bus routes and cause more pollution. Meanwhile mile per hour zones in Sutton Courtney, Woodstock, Nethercut and Radley have been approved.
