Ashfield MP, Lee Anderson, has defended controversial comments he made about the London Mayor, Sadiq Khan, despite being suspended as a Tory MP.

In a statement, he said: 鈥淚t is not my intention to upset anyone, I believe in free speech and have 100% respect for people of all backgrounds.鈥�.
