Forgotten post-war community in Oxford woods
There is a forgotten place at the foot of Shotover country park in Oxford. It was a disused army barracks that housed hundreds of families. Nowadays, it's overgrown with woods, but you can still see the foundations of the community that lived there between 1948 and 1970.
Local historian Wendy Austen is an archaeologist who volunteers with the Shotover Preservation Society. She gave 麻豆社 Radio Oxford's Sophie Law a potted history of Slade Camp.
