Variety, as they say, is the spice of life.

Oppong Hemeng was born in Texas in the US but is hoping to represent Ghana in the fencing competition at the Paris Olympic Games.

He's been telling Sportshour's Caroline Barker about his Olympic aspirations, environmentalism (He's part of Eco Athletes, a collective of athletes devoted to highlighting environmental issues. www.ecoathletes.org) and his role as a wedding officiator.
