Beckford postmaster to 'finally' get compensation
Sally Stringer had to pay more than 拢50,000 of her own money to cover up the incorrect shortfalls from Horizon, using her pension money in the process.
Sally ran the village post office in Beckford, South Worcestershire, for 20 years, and initially missed out on compensation payments because she took part in group mediation, then receiving only 拢700.
The Government is bringing forward a new law to automatically quash the convictions of sub-postmasters who were wrongly prosecuted, in addition to an agreement that, for anyone who wasn't convicted, but lost money could receive 拢75,000 pounds.
Sally told Tammy Gooding how she's now eligible for more compensation, but that the whole process is taking too long.
