麻豆社 producer opens up about her experience of Tourette鈥檚 Syndrome

麻豆社 producer Isabel Kimbrey has Tourette鈥檚 Syndrome, she was diagnosed at the age of 7, but hasn鈥檛 spoken publicly about it until now.

5 Live is investigating the available care provision to diagnose and support people with Tourette鈥檚.

Figures reveal only one in five of the NHS Mental Health Trusts and Boards in England and Wales provide at least one specialist in disorders.

Having Tourette鈥檚 can come with attached stigmas 鈥� Izzy said 鈥� 鈥渋t鈥檚 often seen as the swearing disease or the punchline of the joke鈥� it鈥檚 none of those things鈥�.
