Children鈥檚 Commissioner: We need to protect children from vapes
The Children鈥檚 Commissioner for England Dame Rachel De Souza tells 5 Live Breakfast鈥檚 Rachel Burden that disposable vapes have been 鈥渕arketed to kids鈥� and are 鈥渄isgusting and totally inappropriate.鈥�
She says she鈥檚 pleased to see that legislation is coming in to ban disposable vapes in 2025, but this isn鈥檛 coming fast enough. 鈥淟et鈥檚 rocket boost it,鈥� she said.
But the UK Vaping Industry Association says disposable vapes have 鈥減layed a key role in helping millions of adults quit and stay off cigarettes.鈥�
