Nisha Katona: 鈥榃e take fundamental things for granted鈥�
Author and restaurateur Nisha Katona spent 20 years working as a child protection lawyer before opening the first of her restaurants in Liverpool 10 years ago.
Since then, a further 20 branches have been established. She also started her own charity which is helping improve education for girls in an Indian city.
Speaking to 5 Live鈥檚 Nihal Arthanayake, she said: 鈥淚鈥檓 lucky enough to be here running a business and creating jobs.鈥�
Nisha highlighted that 鈥渂uilding a charity alongside a business is such a great thing鈥�.
She said that she sends members of her own team to India every year and they came back with 鈥渢he scales falling from their eyes鈥�.
鈥淚f I can change the way that my own workers see life and take thing for granted, then there鈥檚 no bigger motivation to build a business than that.鈥�
