Alex Danson-Bennett: β€˜I get better every day’

Former Team GB hockey player, Alex Danson-Bennett spoke to Nicky Campbell about her life-changing head injury.

Alex hit her head whilst on holiday which led to her being diagnosed with a mild traumatic brain injury.

After captaining Team GB hockey, because of her injury, she called time on her career in 2020.

β€œThe physical symptoms were terrible and completely life changing.

β€œI still believe I get better everyday. I choose not to listen to anyone who says otherwise.

β€œThat’s for me to personally go on that journey to say I will recover, it may take time but I’ll get there”, Alex says.
