Forty years since a transplant milestone
Forty years-ago Europe鈥檚 first successful heart-lung transplant was performed at what is now Royal Papworth Hospital in Cambridge.
Brenda Barber was 36 years-old when she underwent the pioneering operation and lived for a further 10 years.
Professor John Wallwork, who led the operation, looks back on that day.
