Gilbert & George on 56 years of dedicated East End life
Gilbert Proesch and George Passmore have lived and worked in Spitalfields since the 1960s, but it was only last April that they finally launched their own dedicated exhibition space.
Now, the dynamic duo of contemporary art have opened a new show to celebrate London through their interpretation of iconic newspaper posters which once defined the capital.
Described as a 鈥渕oral portrait of our times鈥, the exhibition showcases a variety of newspaper headlines detailing issues that have plagued the city.
They've been speaking to 麻豆社 Radio London's Robert Elms about it, their enduring success, and why they still love the East End.
