Endangered nightingales return to Essex
One of the UK’s most endangered songbirds has returned to Fingringhoe Wick. Nightingale populations have declined by 90% in the last 50 years, and the Essex Wildlife Trust reserve near Colchester is one of the best places to find them, supporting 1% of the UK’s entire population.
