Potholes cause delays for Newcastle paramedic
Following an incident where a pothole damaged an ambulance, paramedic Nicola Griffiths, believes the state of the local roads are putting lives at risk.
AARON BELL MP COMMENT:
"I agree the roads have been in an unacceptable state (the awful weather over the last 12 months hasn't helped) which is why I pushed to get the council an additional 拢186m going forward as part of our local dividend over the next decade from cancelling phase 2 of HS2, on top of the 拢4.5m we received in the Budget last year."
The Newcastle Conservative MP encouraged people to report any potholes via the Staffordshire County Council website.
WMAS REPLY:
I have no idea what she has said, but based on previous statements on her social media, she paints a picture that is perhaps not as accurate as we might hope.
I don鈥檛 think we have anything to add.
