Hidden Essex: Marconi's revolution
Italian inventor Guglielmo Marconi is acknowledged as the inventor of wireless technology, which led to the birth of radio and what would become the Âé¶¹Éç.
Much of this work took place in Chelmsford and nearby Writtle in the early 1900s.
To mark his 150th birthday, radio historian Tim Wander explains how it revolutionised communication as we know it.
