Deaf anger: 'That's MY story to tell'
Louise Goldsmith from Melton for seven years experienced life with sound and then her hearing mysteriously started to deteriorate. Her hearing loss is now classed as severe to profound and relies on two hearing aids and lip reading.
At first, Louise was excited about having hearing aids and would show them off to her classmates at primary school.
Things changed when she got to senior school, where her peers were unkind and would bully her after a teacher shared the news of her hearing loss without having Louise's consent.
Louise is passionate about raising deaf awareness and is a Sensory Support Officer for Deafblind UK.
