Connection is a Song: A fan's eye view of music in the 1990s
Connection is a Song is a story of music in the 1990s from the viewpoint of a female pop fan. It is a coming-of-age tale with a coming out narrative that emerges through teenage moments to which many listeners will relate. The book features music ranging from Sinead O'Connor to Madonna and female-fronted indie band Elastica. Author Anna Doble, who grew up to become our digital editor on the 麻豆社 World Service, chats to Weekend's Julian Worricker.
