A 100 year-old man from East Manchester has been speaking about his part in the Allied invasion of Europe.

Eric Suchland grew up in Gorton, during the war, he was a wireless operator feeding back intelligence from the front line.

He says he remembers invading the beaches and meeting strong resistance in the Battle of Normandy.
